There's no more poignant word than 'almost'.

I almost got the opportunity.
I almost passed the threshold.
I almost succeeded.

But the point was, I missed out, every time.

Couple of months ago, a Korean company wanted me to assist them with their marketing. Contract signed and sealed, but the Korean negotiated a bit for the agreed payment and I was adamant.

Last Monday I went to MSI for an interview. I've always wanted to work with MSI and now I finally got the chance. Sadly, after the interview, there's no follow-up actions needed to be taken, meaning I did not quite meet their criteria. Also I think I should have been more well-prepared. The interviewer was a very polite person, exuding an auro belonging to the company which impressed me most. But I was full of myself, assuming that I met all the requirements for this position. The moral of the story is, be humble, always be humble; be grateful for every opportunity.

The realisation was daunting, as I should seize every single opportunity without reserve. Always bear this in mind: if you miss out, you'll never get a secon chance. You never have a second chance to make a first impression.
